Eamonn Holmes OBE has today been confirmed as the new host of talkRADIO’s drivetime show: Eamonn Holmes on talkRADIO, starting on Monday 15th January.
The three-hour show which transmits daily from 4pm – 7pm, will be produced by Sixty Billion Broadcast – a new subsidiary company of Studio Sixty Billion focussing on radio and television. It is led by Holmes, journalist, broadcaster and former heat and Comedy Central UK editor-in-chief Sam Delaney (the man Holmes replaces as host of Talk’s drivetime slot) and former Mentorn Media Executive Producer, Ben Rigden.
The show will be produced by seven-time Sony Award winner and ex-BBC producer Mark Sandell, and will combine a fearless, hard-edged approach to the day’s biggest stories and most controversial issues, with an accessible and humorous touch and open ear to popular culture.
Eamonn Holmes on talkRADIO will also have a life beyond the airwaves, with the Sixty Billion production team also creating original content around the stories and issues it covers.
Eamonn Holmes said:
“I can’t wait to front the first Sixty Billion Broadcast production on talkRADIO. What we’re aiming for is nothing less than the perfect balance between information, opinion and the all-important sense of humour. We’re going to give you the news with a smile and a keen sense of mischief.”
